We highly recommend this introduction class to Stand up Paddleboarding. Unlike kayaking, there are many new and unique technics and safety measures to learn and follow. Stand up Paddleboarding is not difficult, but knowing some helpful tips will definitely make the experience much more safe and fun!
Private Stand Up Paddleboard Lessons Introduction to Paddleboarding - Beginner/Novice level Individual or Group $75/Individual $50/per person - Couple $35/per person - Group (3 or more) Includes all equipment and the duration of the lesson is typically up to one hour.
Here are some things you will learn; Safety - Wind, leashes, rules and regulations, PFD, signaling for help. How to properly enter the water, mount and dismount your paddleboard. Kneeling, etc. Standing and balancing on the paddleboard. Paddle tips and technics based on your level of physical ability and objective.
WARNING: Paddleboarding in windy, choppy, or stormy conditions can be extremely dangerous. Wearing a safety leash at all times will greatly reduce the danger of being separated from your Paddleboard. Under United States Coast Guard rules, a wearable PFD must be available or used at all times. All children under 13 years of age MUST wear a well fitted and approved PFD at all times. This includes on any docks, near the water, or on the water.
